Ed Friedberg returned to Duke University to pursue his law
degree after serving in the United States Marine Corps
1941-46, and was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in
1948. He served as a trial attorney in the Chief Counsel
Office of the Bureau of Internal Revenue Service 1948-1952.
He is admitted to practice in a variety of federal courts
(including Tax Court) at the trial and appellate levels. His
private practice has focused on business and taxation law,
as well as estate planning. In 1970 he was a lecturer in tax
practice and procedure at Duke Law School. He is a member of
the Wake County and North Carolina Bar Associations, the
North Carolina State Bar and the North Carolina Association
of Certified Public Accountants. He is currently counsel for
CRTS, Inc. and L&M Companies, Inc. and affiliates.
