Russell Johnson’s practice is divided between representing injured individuals in personal injury actions and general commercial litigation. During law school, Russell served as Executive Editor of the First Amendment Law Review and as a member of the Broun National Trial Team. He also won the Gressman-Pollit Award for appellate advocacy and a Best Attorney award at UNC's mock trial competition. Russell is the author of “One Nation Under God: Newdow v. United States Congress—A Poorly Chosen Battle in the War Over Separation of Church and State.” 1 First Amend. L. Rev. 155 (2003).
